To enter China, your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival and you must have a valid visa that has been issued by a Chinese embassy or consulate in your home country (or in your country of residence). Please note that without the required documents mentioned above, you will not be able to enter China.
Depending on your country of residence and your nationality, you may require a visa invitation letter in order to be granted an entry visa for China. Please check with the Chinese embassy or consulate nearest you.
There are two types of invitation letters that are available. The first type can be issued by the organizer itself. The second type can only be issued by the appropriate Chinese immigration authorities in Shanghai. It is important that you determine which type of visa invitation letter you may require when you contact the Chinese embassy or consulate in your home country (or nearest you).
